So we've raised a neat little sum of money on the CafePress store... sadly, I've left the checks sitting here on my desk for a year or so without ever having cashed them (because it's not my money!) so I'll have to chat it up with CafePress to see what I can do about that.
But here's what I'm thinking some of that money can go towards... here's a bit from an email correspondence with the dealer of vintage photographs...

I do have a scan of that photo but I cannot send it to you as the person who bought it - bought it - and I make it a strict policy not to do that.
However, I have another and much better photo of the same women and the same sign.
It is in my private collection.
If you want to buy the use of it, I can scan of it for $150.
It would be a high quality 300 dpi scan mailed to you on a CD.
I would keep the physical photo and ownership of the image.

So... what do you think? The photo was hella old, definietly pre-1960, but the exact year escapes me. Should I plonk down $150 to get a scan of this photo? I'm so damn stingy... |
